UK ETA Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about the UK ETA, our professional assistance service, pricing, payment and refunds.
What is a UK ETA?
The UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a digital travel permission for certain eligible travellers who do not normally need a visa for qualifying short visits to the United Kingdom. It is electronically linked to the passport used for the application.
Is this the official UK Government website?
No. ukelectronictravelauthorisation.com is an independent private UK ETA application assistance website operated by Premium Global Visas, a company registered in the Netherlands. We are not affiliated with the UK Government. Travellers may apply directly through the official UK Government service.
Who needs a UK ETA?
Eligibility depends on your nationality, passport, travel purpose, immigration status and individual circumstances. Eligible nationalities include the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, most EU countries, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and several Gulf states, among others. Use our eligibility checker to confirm.
How do I apply for a UK ETA?
With our assistance service you check your eligibility, complete the online application, upload your passport identity page and a recent photo, review your details, and pay securely. We then review your application for completeness and assist with submission.
How much does a UK ETA cost?
Premium Global Visas offers three package prices. For one applicant: Standard Service £60, Priority Service £80 and Super Priority Service £120. When two or more applicants apply and pay together, the reduced family/group rate applies to every applicant: Standard £50 per applicant, Priority £70 per applicant and Super Priority £100 per applicant. For example, two Standard applicants pay £100 in total, three pay £150, and so on. The package price is the total amount collected for the complete application-processing service, including payment of the applicable UK ETA application fee on your behalf. Our internal review target is within 24 hours for Standard, within 4 hours for Priority and within 15 minutes for Super Priority. These targets do not accelerate the UK Government’s decision. You may instead apply directly through the official UK Government service without using our professional service.

Can I apply directly through the UK Government?
Yes. Travellers may apply independently through the official UK Government website without using our professional assistance service and without paying our service fee.
Is Premium Global Visas the UK Government?
No. Premium Global Visas is a private company registered in the Netherlands. We are not the UK Government, GOV.UK, UK Visas and Immigration, the Home Office, a British Embassy or a government agency.
How long does a UK ETA take?
Premium Global Visas offers three internal review targets: Standard within 24 hours, Priority within 4 hours and Super Priority within 15 minutes. These targets apply only to Premium Global Visas’ internal application review and assistance; they do not speed up or influence the UK Government’s decision. Our review targets begin only after Premium Global Visas receives the complete application information, required documents and successful payment. UK ETA decisions themselves are made solely by the relevant UK authorities — no private service can guarantee a decision date.
How long is a UK ETA valid?
Subject to current UK Government rules, an ETA is generally valid for up to 2 years or until the passport it is linked to expires, whichever happens first. A new passport may require a new ETA.
Does a UK ETA guarantee entry to the UK?
No. An ETA does not guarantee admission to the United Kingdom. Border admission decisions remain with UK authorities.
Can I travel multiple times with a UK ETA?
Yes. Eligible travellers may generally make multiple permitted trips while the ETA remains valid, subject to UK immigration rules.
Do children need a UK ETA?
Yes. Every traveller who requires an ETA must have their own application, including eligible children and babies. A parent, guardian or authorised person may prepare an application for another traveller where permitted.
Do babies need a UK ETA?
Yes. Babies and infants of eligible nationalities need their own ETA application when the scheme applies to them. Our family application flow lets you add each child within one checkout session.
Can I apply for someone else?
Yes, where permitted. A parent, guardian or authorised person may prepare an application for another traveller. You must confirm you have authority to act for them in the applicant declaration.
Can I apply for my entire family?
Yes. Our application lets you add multiple applicants within one checkout session. Each applicant receives their own application record and linked reference, and the price is calculated automatically. When two or more applicants apply and pay together, the reduced family/group rate applies to every applicant.
