UK ETA for Children and Families

Yes — children and babies need their own ETA

Every traveller who requires an ETA must have their own application, including eligible children and babies. There is no family group ETA: each child is linked to their own passport.

Applying as a parent or guardian

A parent, guardian or authorised person may prepare an application for another traveller where permitted. In our application flow you confirm that you have authority to act for each person you apply for.

One checkout for the whole family

Our multi-applicant flow lets you add each family member within a single checkout session. Each applicant gets their own application record and a linked sub-reference (for example PGV-UKETA-2026-000001-A and -B), and the price is calculated automatically. When two or more applicants apply and pay together, the reduced family/group rate applies to every applicant.

See our UK ETA family application guide and the UK ETA cost explained guide for the full family/group pricing.
